Sometimes readings can be heartbreaking. Our little car took the brunt of a twist of fate recently. A few months before I had written to a fellow reader to discuss the 5 of coins and the Chariot cards I had just read for myself.

I have formulated a new technique (bearing in mind how disastrous my last one was), which involves mapping the balance of chance and the attraction between historic numbers. At the moment it is only single layered, but I'm working on multi-layering the relationships to provide me with a higher level of insight.
I know you'll think I'm deluded in this pursuit, but ... Hey ! You can't blame a guy for trying.
I'm focusing on a re-balancing low draw this week. I'm hoping that the illusive number 6 will show its face also ... 06,23,29,32,35 & 43 !

So, I take a spirit box that produces text and I set up a Question and Answer page next to it and type in my questions and record their responses.
Surprisingly enough, the answers I get do make some sense ... What do you think ?

The remark was initially considered to be a name, but I now believe that the 3 later names given may have been North Crop coal miners who were possibly propecting for gold too).

The perfect method of divination for those who have precise questions. The cards can explain your present path and suggest the next step to get you back on your divine track. Usually used for short to medium term readings.
I use a classic 12 card yearly projection spread, with 3 cards in the centre to 'flesh out' each month with any questions that may arise. I find this provides a distinct purpose to the reading and allows for individual questions from the querent.
6 Card, Solution Seeking Spread (Approx 30 minutes)
Laid out in the form of a sacred pyramid, this spread provides a harmonic relationship between our characters, our problem, the solution and our future trajectory.
The subtle interplay between our character cards and the problems and solutions becomes clear with this spread.
3 Card, Single Question Spread (Approx 15 minutes)
This classic 3 card spread has served Tarot readers well for generations. Although it looks simple, the amount of issues it can explore are unlimited.
This spread provides three dimensions to any question. I am not really a 'Past, Present and Future' kind of reader. I like to look at the three cards in the round, exploring their relationship with each other and the question at hand.
Casting beads onto a wooden board, inscribed with emotions allows the reader to intimately dissect the forces that affect us every day. Perfect for working out why we are acting in a certain way.
The Divination board is stamped with words, mainly activities, emotions and concerns that make up a human life experience. To use the Divination board, I ask the querent to choose a random amount of beads, and after a brief period of contemplation, cast the clay beads onto the surface and we wait to see how they come to rest. The beads are coloured differently and have a few markings. The colours determine the emotional intensity and the markings reveal the relationship between the querent and the particular zone of the board.
I make these myself, so I doubt you will find the same divination method anywhere else.

A whole life laid out in one reading. Partitioned into 10 year sections and focusing on 5 main elements of life (Happiness, Relationships, Ambition, Wealth & Health). Sees the past, aids in talking about the present and goes some way to predicting the future. Perfect when used in conjuction with the 12 month spread tarot card reading.
Here is a pic of my abacus system. It's hard to describe, but I find it very successful as a 'Whole life' reading/prediction system, in a face to face scenario.
For many millennia human beings have sought insight into their fate and destiny using systematic methods such as bone casting, tea leaf interpreting and tarot card reading. The paths of our lives can often feel out of our control and to beat the odds has always been one of our deepest instincts.
Accounts of divination seem to be as old as writing itself and it would not be too outlandish to suggest that some methods are as old as humans themselves. Shamanic practices have been found illustrated in Paleolithic cave art. The casting of bones is a truly ancient method of prediction which have developed into modern day dice and cards. It could be argued that the reading of entrails has developed into modern day Clinical pathology.
Somehow tied up with the human perception of luck, and coupled with the subconscious ponderings on why some people seem to always have it easier than others, our distant ancesters would have sought methods to re-balance their lot by using any means at their disposal. Dead animals were a huge repository of useful materials, so why not use the less commonly utilised pieces (such as boiled vertebrae) to make divining tools ?
Believers in Divination are everywhere. Anyone who believes in luck believes that they have the chance to improve their odds. Business owners, Parents, Gamblers, Sports Men and Women, Politicians ... Divination is literally revered by all and sundry.
